Earlier this week, King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in Samoa to visit with leaders and fulfill some of their royal duties. On the first day, the King and Queen attended an amazing ceremony while wearing matching outfits that received rave reviews on social media. According to Hello Magazine, King Charles also received a new title and some gifts!

First things first...

While King Charles and Queen Camilla will experience everything Samoa has to offer during their visit, it's natural that the King of the United Kingdom had to settle his most important affairs first.

The tweet above shows that the King of the United Kingdom met with the Head of State of the Independent State of Samoa, Le Afioga ia Tuimaleali ifano Va aleto'a Sualauvi II, for a dignified photo opportunity. Both leaders are adorned in traditional Samoan attire and appear to be seated inside an official government office.

Other tweets show King Charles in his more usual style of dress, but it's delightful to see the King immersing himself in Samoa's rich heritage and culture!

A well documented stay in Polynesian paradise

In a sand colored suit befitting his more Western style, King Charles toured the new King's Garden, a botanical landmark that encourages political leaders to plant trees and work towards off-setting carbon emissions in Samoa.

The new site is arranged to look like a crown and is comprised of traditional king ferns and the native flowers of Samoa. As seen in the tweet commemorating the Garden's opening, multiple Samoan citizens were present to spend time with King Charles and educate him about the new site's purpose.

Before he stopped by the new King's Garden, King Charles also visited the O Le Pupu’Pue National Park. According to a tweet from The Royal Family, the national park will contribute to Queen Camilla's Commonwealth Canopy Initiative.

As expected, the King and Queen's high-profile visit is a hot topic of discussion. Tea and Banter will keep you updated with all the latest as it comes in!
