If you're a fan of Pro Wrestling, explosions, fake presidents, and surly prime ministers, then Amazon MGM Studios has the perfect new film for you!

Deadline reports that the latest trailer for Idris Elba and John Cena's new action comedy, Heads of States, was recently released. The trailer shows that Cena (Jackpot, Ricky Stanicky) will play the President of the United States. Elba, who currently voices Knuckles in the world famous Sonic the Hedgehog TV and Film franchise, will play the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Deadline reports that Heads of State was directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry) and Bob Odenkirk (Nobody) and focuses on Elba and Cena's ability, or lack thereof, to work together after they get stranded in hostile territory.

To help them along the way, Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Baywatch, Love Again) will portray the Mi6 agent whose sole mission is to lead the two diplomats to safety.

The perfect buddy comedy to bring in the summer season

Deadline says that Heads of State is "Air Force One meets Midnight Run."

The trailer shown above shows that there's due to be a lot of jokes, explosions, gun fire, action, character development, improvisation, and disappointment in the futility of tinted power windows.

Deadline reports that the rest of the film's cast will include Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle and Paddy Considine.

The project was written by Josh Appelbaum & André Nemec and Harrison Query and produced by The Safran Company’s Peter Safran and John Rickard.

Heads of State won't be Amazon MGM's first action project featuring a British icon either! Jason Statham's A Working Man has been a hit for the company while grossing $87 million worldwide. The company also dipped its toes into the political action waters after releasing Viola Davis' G20 earlier this year.

Fans of the WWE are familiar with Cena's recent push into Hollywood. The current Undisputed WWE Champion won his record breaking 17th world heavyweight championship at WrestleMania 41. However, the legendary performer confirmed last year that he'll be retiring at the end of 2025.

John's Cena's retirement from in-ring competition will give him more time to focus on his growing career as an action star. He's already been featured in multiple DC Comics properties, so maybe he and Idris Elba can team up one more time to save the world and give the people what they want!
