I never thought I would ask the question, have you ever wanted to build Buckingham Palace. But if there’s one thing that being a LEGO fan can do for you, it is that it allows you to do things you never thought you would. From building the Death Star, to creating a Sherlock Holmes inspired settings, Lego allows us to get creative in the very best way.
And if you are a fan of the royal family, and the royal palaces, then it might excite you to realize that there is actually a Buckingham Palace LEGO set on the market. We never knew that this existed, however, it turns out that there are actually a number of LEGO architecture sets inspired by iconic settings around the world. We are talking about the Great Wall of China, Trafalgar Square, Notre Dame Cathedral, and of course, Buckingham Palace (to name a few).
We stumbled across this LEGO set on Amazon, and found out that this was originally released in 2016. Personally, I am shocked that this is still available for purchase, simply because this set has been around for nine years. I would’ve expected this to be retired.
LEGO has a Buckingham Palace set that lets you recreate the home of the royals
Luckily for us, it is not retired. And you can snag this LEGO set on Amazon for $219.95. This very detailed recreation features a red double-decker bus, the Victoria Memorial, and of course, the iconic Palace Gates. This is a chance to build something so iconic, that it has seen many a king or queen in residence (or at least the real palace has).
One thing to note is that this set apparently contains 780 bricks. Personally, I have seen other sets with a lot more than that. So this is not that bad in terms of how intricate the build will end up being. In fact, this seems like one of those projects that you could probably build in a weekend.
So will you be building your own LEGO version of Buckingham Palace? I know that I’m tempted.
