Gordon Ramsay has officially crowned the winner of season 23 of Hell’s Kitchen, the head chef’s only season. And it was definitely a hard fought battle, with both Kyle and Hannah doing everything in their power to prove that they had what it took to be the next head chef of Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods resort and casino in Connecticut.
One of the things we really enjoy about watching Gordon Ramsay in action is the fact that he takes food and restaurants very seriously. Obviously, his name and reputation are on the line. But at the same time, he also has this way about him that makes it clear that he is all about supporting the chefs that he works with. So seeing him interact with the two finalists, was a reminder that he truly believed in both of these people. He believed that they could both be leaders in the kitchen.
And he was not wrong. Both Hannah and Kyle proved that they could lead a restaurant in this final dinner service.

However, there can only be one winner. And ultimately, it was Kyle, who pulled out every bit of what he needed to be Gordon Ramsay‘s next head chef.
I have to say that I was not at all surprised to see him walk through the door of Ramsay‘s office as the winner of the season. It was as if he had already proven himself over the course of the entire season. He very rarely faltered, and even though he had a lot of faith in himself, there was also some humility to Kyle. Yes, he had that cocky attitude of ‘I am going to win it all,’ but when he did, he seemed surprised. It’s almost like he was putting on a show so that no one would see that he wasn’t 100% confident.
I have to say that this season was rough. And yet, I think that Gordon Ramsay chose the best finalists for the job. I think either Hannah or Kyle would’ve been a great choice for winner of this season of Hell’s Kitchen. And yet at the same time, I think Kyle deserved that win. And we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us in the future.
Now, we just have to wait and see what comes next. What type of season will we get next time we enter Hell’s Kitchen? And will we back on the west coast? Or could we find ourselves somewhere else entirely?
