It was a Cajun challenge on episode 10 of Next Level Chef. And for some of the chefs, it was clearly a challenge.
In the upper level kitchen, Beatrice decided that her alliance with Austin was over. And this meant that she decided to take the shrimp off the platform that she knew Austin wanted. But this is Next Level Chef, and there is a lot of money on the line, so we don’t blame her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gordon Ramsay made a fabulous decision when he decided to pick Beatrice for his team. Because the dish that she made with that shrimp, not only earned her a top dish once again, but it even earned her the time token advantage.
Honestly, we are so impressed with the way Beatrice is cooking. And whether you like her or not, and we have definitely seen the comments online, it’s clear that she knows her way around a kitchen.
And while Beatrice was definitely on the upper level in terms of her cooking in this episode, sadly for the other members of team Ramsay it was a bit of a different story.
Next Level Chef took on Cajun cooking in episode 10
Both Arnav and Ryan ended up in the elimination challenge for the episode because they struggled with their dishes. Ryan really held himself back when it came to seasoning, and this was definitely not the challenge to do that with. He needed more spice. His dish needed more of a kick. And then we have Arnav, who tried to make a dish with alligator and sadly ended up with meat that was chewy and not very good.
Honestly, they were lucky that there was a third chef in that elimination cook, because one of them would’ve gone home otherwise. They truly saved themselves in this elimination cook, in part because there was a third chef cooking against them.
I have to say that I am surprised that we didn’t lose a member of Gordon Ramsay’s team after this episode. But because there were three chefs in that elimination challenge, they were able to pull it out and save themselves for the next episode. And there was no denying that they really did deliver when it mattered.
This also means that we are going to see two members of team Ramsay in the bottom kitchen in episode 11. It should be interesting to see how they handle the basement, but at least they are still in the competition.
