We finally have an official teaser trailer for Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. And if you are a fan of this franchise, then you are going to want to have a box of tissues ready.
Set to hit theaters September 12, this final movie will usher in a brand new era for the characters that we have all grown to love. And there are definitely some notable absences in this trailer, but we knew that was coming.
Interestingly enough, this movie will see the Crawley family, and of course, their staff entering into the 1930s. Not only can we expect major changes in society, but our characters are going to have to figure out how to move forward in life. How are they going to embrace the changes that come with a new era?

Although the trailer doesn’t really feel like it is digging deep into the storyline of this final movie, we don’t expect it to. Instead, this trailer for Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale is a glimpse at what is to come. This trailer was a glimpse at the beauty, elegance, and drama of society at the time.
While there are certainly going to be things that stay the same in terms of this family and their place in society, we also know that there will be a lot of changes as well. We know that there are characters that we will not get to see in this film. So how will they be addressed in the movie? Will the movie be able to wrap up this story that has captured the imagination of so many? These are just a few of the questions on our mind.
As fans of the series, we noticed that there is a lot of chatter on social media about the new trailer. And it is clear that there are a lot of fans eager for this final chapter, while also knowing that it is going to be a sad goodbye. Overall, it is clear that the fans are very excited for this trailer drop. And so were we.
It should be interesting to see what we get next in terms of a trailer, but at least we have this one to break down and discuss moving forward.
