When it comes to watching Hell's Kitchen at home, we know that we aren't seeing everything that is happening. In a lot of ways, we are getting the highlights of a dinner service or even a reward challenge. We don't get to see every single thing that goes down in the dorms or behind the scenes of the show itself.

And yet, even knowing that we aren't getting a chance to see it all, we still have opinions on the different cheftestants, as well as the things that Gordon Ramsay does and says. So of course, we also have opinions about who Ramsay is eliminating from the competition.

In episode 7 of Hell's Kitchen Season 23, "Harmony in Hell," the women really struggled in the kitchen. Not only did they lose the reward challenge, but they also lost the dinner service. Unsurprisingly, this meant that it was the red team that had to choose two people for elimination.

Did Gordon Ramsay send home the right person on Hell's Kitchen?

By the end of "Harmony in Hell," it was decided that the person Gordon Ramsay would be sending home was Executive Chef Meghan Ellis. Even though during the episode, it didn't seem like Meghan was the worst chef on red team or even made the most mistakes, this was the second time that her team had sent her up to go home.

According to Ramsay, the reason that he was sending Meghan home was in part because her team clearly did not have any faith in her. Them wanting her gone after back to back dinner services meant that they didn't support her in the kitchen. And as Gordon Ramsay pointed out, that meant that she was simply not ready to be his head chef for the Foxwoods Hell's Kitchen location.

Did Chef Ramsay make the right decision? Honestly, I was torn on this. In fact, I went back and rewatched the episode this morning on Hulu to see how poorly she did in the kitchen. And while I don't think she was terrible, the fact that she basically walked away from her station to help someone else was a big red flag. You can't leave your stuff to get ruined to help someone else.

However, we also have to agree with Chef Ramsay that if your team doesn't support you now, how can you be a leader in his kitchen. It should be interesting to see if the red team is able to bounce back after this loss. And of course, here is hoping the team work is better.

What did you think of Gordon Ramsay's decision to send Meghan home? Do you think the right person went home?
