After a wild episode four, we saw everyone in chaos in episode five of The Traitors. Any and all teams or alliances that were on the table prior to this week imploded as we bid farewell to two more players and the game moved forward.
First up, following his successful attack on Bob the Drag Queen at the Roundtable, Boston Rob had to face fellow traitors Carolyn and Danielle. It’s a tense time as all three appear uneasy. While Rob tries to convince them, they can be a team, everyone seems to be out for themselves. That makes it near impossible to agree on who to murder.
In the end, the group decides to end the run for Housewife Robyn, which leaves Carolyn frustrated and uneasy. It also causes some confusion among the group, who can’t tell the reason for picking off Robyn. But they have little time to dwell before launching into the day’s challenge, this one involving solving puzzles.
If you solve a puzzle, you can put up someone for a shield. Only two will get a shield. While Derrick and Tom are the first to solve a puzzle, and put themselves up, Danielle is next. She decided to be benevolent, putting up the remaining Housewife Delores, while removing former ally Derrick. It’s a move that backfires as it makes her look more like a traitor and belies her lack of ability to play the game.
Later, Danielle wins again and puts Derrick back up, further casting suspicion on herself by her actions and curious reactions. Later, she decides to make a move against Carolyn in order to, possibly, get a new traitor and take out Rob. But Carolyn finds out, leaving any potential for these three to work as a team completely shattered by the end of the hour.

But the Traitors aren’t the only group whose alliance comes crashing down. The final shield goes to Ciara, who displaces Derrick after solving the last puzzle. She and Nikki are still in the crosshairs because they survived the coffin, and Ciara is trying to protect herself. Nikki, meanwhile, is leaning on her fellow Bambis for support, Gabby and Chrishell.
The problem is, Chrishell is starting to have doubts. Nikki’s cool demeanor isn’t sitting well, making her suspicious. When the Roundtable, again, begins debating if Nikki or Ciara are traitors based on being placed in the coffin, it’s clear the group is turning on Nikki. That includes Chrishell, who makes a very convincing argument that Nikki wasn’t surprised by Bob the Drag Queen’s admission he was, in fact, a traitor. That’s something she’d only know if she, too, were a traitor.
So, for the second time in as many weeks, we get an emotional roundtable where supposed allies turn on one another. Both Chrishell and a tearful Gabby end up voting for Nikki, who receives 14 of the 16 votes cast. As she’s banished, Nikki chided the group on not judging people for not responding with the same emotional intensity they would themselves and revealed she was, in fact, a Faithful.
We end with Chrishell and Gabby in tears, the Traitors in disarray, and no alliances to be found. It’s going to be a long week!
